BELSIL® PDM 1000 (Trimethylsiloxyphenyl Dimethicone) is a sophisticated phenyl-modified polydimethylsiloxane that stands out for its higher refractive index, ranging from 1.38 to 1.40, compared to standard dimethicone fluids. This unique characteristic not only enhances its shine but also optimizes skin feel and compatibility with a variety of cosmetic ingredients. With a flash point of approximately 285°C and a kinematic viscosity of around 1000 mm²/s at 25°C, BELSIL® PDM 1000 is ideal for diverse cosmetic formulations, particularly in hair care and color cosmetics where its shine-enhancing properties shine the most. Additionally, it effectively reduces the stickiness of formulations containing acrylic acid polymers, while also serving as an excellent emollient in skincare products, delivering a luxuriously soft feel and impressive water repellency.
