CRODAROM® CHARDONNAY L (Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Extract) is a unique cosmetic ingredient derived from the white Chardonnay seeds of Burgundy, France, after the initial grape harvest. This propylene glycolic and aqueous extract is notable for its high concentration of polyphenols, particularly Oligomeric ProanthoCyanidins (OPCs), which are potent free-radical scavengers. Unlike in red wine production, where these beneficial compounds are transferred to the wine, the extraction process for Chardonnay seeds preserves the OPCs, allowing for their powerful antioxidant properties to shine. These compounds not only protect against cellular aging by decreasing the activity of aging-related enzymes but also enhance the efficacy of other antioxidants like vitamins C and E, promoting a synergistic effect. Rich in protective qualities, CRODAROM® CHARDONNAY L is particularly effective in formulations aimed at reducing capillary fragility and rejuvenating aging skin.
