Glyceryl Stearate
Glyceryl Stearate SE (Glyceryl Stearate) is a versatile plant-derived emulsifier renowned for its exceptional ability to create stable oil-in-water emulsions. The "SE" signifies “self emulsifying,” allowing it to function effectively on its own, unlike standard Glyceryl Stearate, which typically requires two additional co-emulsifiers. Derived from coconut and olive oil rather than palm oil, this ingredient is produced through the esterification of stearic acid and glycerin, making it ideal for a wide range of cosmetic formulations. In addition to its emulsifying properties, Glyceryl Stearate SE aids in preventing transepidermal water loss (TEWL), enhancing hydration while reducing the greasiness of oils in various products. Its multifunctional capabilities make it a staple in the creation of lightweight, effective skincare solutions.
