HE-Cellulose, Modified (Hydroxyethylcellulose) is a uniquely tailored, nonionic, water-soluble polymer derived from the reaction of ethylene oxide with alkali-cellulose. This high molecular weight grade, referred to as HR-CS, is known for its ability to create crystal-clear solutions with varying viscosity in water, typically ranging from 1,500 to 2,500 cps in a 1% solution. With an average molecular weight of 250,000 and stability across a broad pH range of 3 to 10, Hydroxyethylcellulose serves as an effective thickener for emulsions, surfactant systems, and gels. Additionally, it acts as a foam stabilizer and anti-caking agent, preventing lump formation and enhancing the overall texture and stability of cosmetic formulations.
