Laureth-3 (Laureth-3) is a versatile liquid non-ionic emulsifier and surfactant, derived from the polyethylene glycol ether of lauryl alcohol. This amber, clear liquid is odorless and exhibits a unique characteristic of hazing when chilled, making it an interesting addition to various formulations. With a pH range of 5.0-6.5 in a 5% solution, Laureth-3 is primarily soluble in oils and alcohol, while demonstrating partial solubility in water.
