OLIVEM® 1000 MB (Cetearyl Olivate and Sorbitan Olivate) is an innovative, PEG-free self-emulsifying multifunctional ingredient revered for its exceptional moisturizing properties. Available as white to ivory waxy flakes that melt around 70°C, this complex blend of fatty acids closely resembles the natural lipid composition of the skin's surface, enabling it to create liquid crystal structures that effectively replicate the organization of the stratum corneum. As a sole emulsifier, OLIVEM® 1000 MB not only ensures superb spreadability without a soapy effect but also enhances formulation compatibility with Dihydroxyacetone and alpha-hydroxy acids across a versatile pH range of 3 to 12. Validated by COSMOS, it is recommended at a usage level of 1.5 to 4% in oil-in-water emulsions, reaching the higher end for thicker products, making it an essential component for luxurious skincare formulations.
