Carbomer
Carbomer (Carbomer) is a versatile thickening agent celebrated for its ability to control the viscosity and rheology (flow) of various cosmetic formulations. This ingredient plays a crucial role in evenly distributing and suspending insoluble solids in liquids, effectively preventing the separation of oil and liquid components in a solution. Furthermore, Carbomer is remarkable for its hydrophilic properties, allowing it to absorb and retain water while swelling up to 1000 times its original volume when hydrated. Its extensive range of applications includes products such as styling gels, facial moisturizers, shampoos, eye creams, cleansers, and scrubs, making it an essential component in the beauty and personal care industry for creating stable, luxurious textures.
