Euxyl® PE 9010 (Phenoxyethanol and Ethylhexylglycerin) is a cutting-edge liquid cosmetic preservative that offers exceptional protection against a broad spectrum of microbial threats, including both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, yeast, and mold. This powerful formulation combines phenoxyethanol, known for its preservative qualities, with ethylhexylglycerin, which enhances preservative efficacy by improving interfacial tension at the cell membranes of microorganisms. Notably, Euxyl® PE 9010 is free from parabens and formaldehyde, making it a safer choice for formulations, particularly those containing natural raw materials that are more prone to microbial contamination. For optimal effectiveness, especially in products that may be heavily contaminated, a minimum contact time of 48 hours is required. This dual-action preservative is suitable for various applications, including creams, lotions, serums, shampoos, conditioners, and even anhydrous skincare products, ensuring that your formulations remain safe, stable, and effective.
