Product Description

Silica Dimethyl Silylate is a versatile ingredient known for its innovative thickening and suspending properties in various formulations. This hydrophobic fumed silica (Silica Dimethyl Silylate) effectively thickens oils and polyols, allowing for enhanced texture and stability in cosmetic products. It excels in forming transparent gels in oils such as mineral oil, castor oil, and plant oils, making it an excellent choice for creating luxurious, smooth textures. Additionally, it demonstrates thickening capabilities even in the presence of polar solvents like dipropylene glycol and triethyl citrate, contributing to a well-rounded performance in both skincare and makeup applications.

Key Benefits

Thickens oil phases in emulsions and increases viscosity and gloss of various oils by forming oil-gels | Improves payoff in lipsticks | Reduces pigment settling and oil bleeding in lipsticks | Provides grip in powder products (e.g. dry shampoos) and adds volume to dry shampoo products
