Melt&Marble was founded to rethink how fats and lipids are created and to deliver better performance, consistency and sustainability across food and personal care.
The company grew out of the Systems and Synthetic Biology group at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, a team recognised for its world-leading expertise in microbial engineering.
The company began as a way to commercialise academic research, supported by yeast engineering services and early patents. In 2021 we shifted our focus to the design of high performing fats and lipids, building on our scientific foundation to create real world impact across multiple industries.
